"My work has evolved in phases, having explored almost every medium including oils, watercolors, acrylics and pastels," he says. "In my travel/sketch trips across America, historical and Western subjects have been of tremendous interest to me…Yet, I can also be inspired by a still life or a few flowers growing in my backyard".
A resident of Red Wing, MN. and a native of Watford City, ND, his paintings are often a combination of media including watercolor, gouache and pastels. He has traveled extensively across the West in search of subject matter, including an annual participation in the "Artist's Ride" a photo and sketch event held on a ranch near Wall, SD. His most recent awards include Best of show in both oil and watercolor at the Roughrider Art Show in Williston, ND. In 1993 one of his paintings was published as a greeting card by Leanin' Tree Cards of Boulder, CO.
